Love Lies Dormant

Cut me and I bleed

Hurt me and I feel pain

Touch me and you will awaken

the light of desire within me

 

For love lies dormant

in the depth of my heart

a lost dream

an echo of things longed for

yet unseen

 

Wild and untamed

boundless and alive

love fights to be set free

from its prison of dreams

 

I long to experience

the fullness of love

to be entwined forever

in the arms of a kindred soul

to love and be loved

to float away on a cloud of delight

 

I want to become lost

in the eyes of the one I love

to melt into a kiss of pure bliss

to tremble forever

in loves embrace

forever cherished

forever safe
