A Normal Morning

A Normal Morning

A Poem by Cathexis
"

This is one of earliest works

"
As I awoke into a normal morning,

Not knowing that it would become a day of mourning,

I went to my boys room, to find my oldest crying,

completely unaware that my youngest was dying.

As I checked to see if he was alright,

I saw my little boy as cold as night.

Stricken to tears as my heart was torn out,

MALAKAI! MALAKAI!

was all I could shout.

Doing all the best that we can,

to save our son from a ghostly tan.

But I wasn't in time to save the day.

Only enough to watch him slowly slip away.
