A RIDE

A RIDE

A Poem by Catlen
"

A motorcycle talking to its owner.

MY DREAM

Come my Love,

Let me take you for a ride.

Feel the air caressing your hair?

Feel the sun warming your face?

You feel it, don't you?

See, how the scenery changes before us?

The lights are just a blur now.

Fields, trees, flowers...

Mountains, a beach, the sea...

We left everything behind us.

NO worries....NO stress...Nothing...

Just you, me and the road.

Feel the rush while I speed?

You feel free with me.

You feel it, don't you?

Thank you for reading! :)))
Love the repetition, tis like a naughty imp sitting on the shoulder, enticing! You really do have a wild imagination and a way of showing it, never a slur or slip, however.

'You feel it, don't you?' .. .. guess there could be one who'd say, 'Me first, me first!'

Thank you, Emma! :)))
Your descriptions carry the reader along, and make them feel what you are presenting here. Nicely done. ~ Robert.

I think you cld be onto something here .. a collection of bike poems .. I am sure they wld score with folk who love the romance of a big bike and an open road .. I like the notion of the bike personified .. cue soundtrack of Hog being kicked into life

Yes. I do feel it. I enjoyed this. I used to do a bit of riding myself.

I love how you created this feeling of freedom and escape. I really like how you've set this poem up, how the motorcycle is tempting its owner. I think the repetition of the line 'You feel it, don't you?' really works. Great job, Catherine!

Magnificent. Having been riding for over fifty years, I know this experience well. Even now that I'm rather old and in poor health, I take my bike out often. There's just nothing else like it in the world.
