Man to Man

Man to Man

A Poem by Cecelia
"

for Father's Day

"

It’s time we had a talk!
(as you used to say)

It’s time we had a talk!
(I go first today)

I learned what’s right and wrong from the
talks we had back then.

I learned of the choices that are
Made and faced by men.

But, lessons of love,
forgiveness, pride and dignity

Were lessons that were learned
from the way you treated me.

Without you I would
never have believed
“I can....”

You taught me much
and you did it
"man to man"
