In Memoriam of October Two

In Memoriam of October Two

A Poem by Chandler Seven
"

a life in my heart.

"

And so i hold you.

My eyes, your eyes, lacrymose,

they're red like autumn.

A sunny noontime,

A chilly Sunday madness,

A grim fallout.

Last chance to hold you,

Hell is calling me back.

Thanks for your heaven.

I wish I could stay,

I wish I could stop this change,

but life is changing...

...and death, it's bereft.

And while I still breathe, I hope

Change will lead us back.

This is really good. A tragic parting but with hope still alive. The idea of change as the only constant. And I like the kind of 'To Be Continued' air to the ending- like this could be the final scene from a movie or something similar.

a simple, but very moving piece. thought provoking and deep, I really enjoyed it.
a nice voice carries the piece along with a whisp, lightly driving it into the reader's mind.
very well done, perfect for the season.

This was a truly thought provoking piece. For some reason it reminded me of the fall season with it's colored leaves. I found this piece beautiful.

Very moving...I know the feeling, wanting a moment with something/someone to never end and just experience that peace for the rest of your life. But of course, it never does (that's life). I like how it ends somewhat optimistically, hopeful that the experience will come back in the end. Great poetry, you've got skill.

dum spiro, Spero. Hope you find that person again :)

but life is changing...
...and death, it's bereft.
And while I still breathe, I hope

tender and full of longing :)

This is a beautiful piece .... it makes me feel how deep the pain is, how much you long to reconnect ..... and the warmth of your heart. Very Good!
