Whisper to Me - Remarkable Words

Whisper to Me - Remarkable Words

A Poem by Neva Flores Smith - Changefulstorm
"

I want to still hear your voice echoing against my skin................

"

Come whisper to me, remarkable words

When evening cascades to a sigh
I want to still hear your voice
Echoing against my skin
After I kiss you
Goodnight

Encircle my world with the sound of your thunder
Listen to my pulse throb as it resounds
You can measure each beat
Matched with your own
In the way you make
My heart pound

Place your hands on the small of my back once more
Leave me with your calm and serene air
So tonight when I lie down alone
And close these eyes
I can still feel
You there

I like this poem, I like the descending structure of each stanza, every line by at most two words than the last line. The message of love resonates on two levels for me, the passion for the mate in our lives and the passion of the subject we love (for me that is mathematics, hence why I love the structuring). Resonant on the deep.

This is sensual and erotic...but most of all romantic and written with class.
I love it. You captured a special magic in the bond between these to souls.

Such a romantic and dreamy poem. I enjoy the energy and the way the words drip with adoring light, flow with a sense of oneness, and then ends with what seems like a night or possibly more time to come without that which you have become accustomed to. They way the structure of this poem trails off at each section looks and reads in a delightful way, like the edges of coral reefs dropping off, or like architectual detail on a very old building. Lovely!

Ahhhh this is very tender and beautifully sad in its own way...a reader usually decides if they want to continue reading after the first two lines, you captivated my interest from the beginning...

When evening cascades to a sigh...

lovely.

Brilliant and peaceful closing, very serene and quiet. This reminds me of the book The Giver.
