Disguise of An Inferno

Disguise of An Inferno

A Poem by Neva Flores Smith - Changefulstorm
"

Entwined within the pleasant taste of a foreign darkness.............

"

My dreams burst slowly into entities that wake the sands of time
On those nights when I meet intricately woven memories
I find admiration inside of a shameless delicate need
Upon a shrine created by gentle eyes to please

I never knew an inferno could be disguised in the sweetest music
Entwined within the pleasant taste of a foreign darkness
Full of such wonder that walks alone and unplanned
Leaving me with no escape or want of release

Have I been shrouded in a pretentious cloud of helpless feelings
Where I sweetly drown in your conquering ocean of bliss
Softly tossed by symphonic waves of your voice
That sings into my delicate need of your kiss

Yet, no metallic notes burst into my dreams or this song I hear
I am not denied in the unfolding of your unearthly wings
Enter into this room where I now dream of you
My inferno of memories I kiss as I sing

I was torn whilst reading this piece Neva. At one point I thought of it in terms of two lovers, then there was an undercurrent that it was more of a spiritual meaning and intended for a higher place. Interesting use of the nominated words and well composed.

Oh the symphonic inferno that bursts forth from the pretentious and ravenous. A metallic, unearthly sound that echoes in my dreams.
I cry to the heavens to release me from my bonds and return things as they seem.

Oh how heavy, weary laden, the burden on their souls. They go on knowing that to their dismay they will dye in vain, if only to pay no tole.
And a sickening wail will burst from their silent screams, the dieing remnants of their souls.

Probably not what your piece is saying at all but none the less inspired by it.

Very nicely done Neva. A new favorite of mine...!

This is music within itself, Neva...the word metallic brought us out of our chrysalis of steamy passion and reverie, alright. An unexpected jolt to the senses to snap us back..(sigh)... but we all have to return any way. haunting...symphony

Am I not surprised? Indeed, I am. As always, your imagery is beautifully woven together with wonderful and warm thoughts and feelings I can hardly extract! x3

Very mysterious Neva. So many feeling intertwined. Inferno and afterwards a sense of love. It is in good poetic form I think. Good and enjoyable to read.
