get off my lawn, cupid

get off my lawn, cupid

A Poem by paradoxical
"

i'm not buying

"

you smiled -

something soft
and clawed
nestled into my chest

breathing became
a newborn's first step
into the unknown but

i was never a brave adventurer
and
keep my gambling
to poker games
where a bad hand means
ramen noodles for a week

i know you

you'll give me the best nightmares
I've ever had
engrave the definition of loneliness
into unwilling walls
of tissue

and worst of all,

worst of all
i'll look forward to the lesson
