shadow boxing

shadow boxing

A Poem by paradoxical

no longer dodging punches
or avoiding kicks
the world at my wall
finding me insignificant
at most

but i can knock
my own self down
and never needed help
finding burial ground

but the moon lights the way,
anyway

a bright sky blinds,
defines the darkness;
equal and never quite
separated but happy innocence
is a myth highly overrated

so my villainous twin and I
stare at shadows on the sun,
plotting schemes into the night

since neither one of us
has won

Hah! We all have our doppelganger, or a dangerous twin within ourselves. It is mischievous to say the least, and downright mean to our core values to say the worst. I allowed my doppelganger to control me for two very lost decades. Here is hoping that you get control of yours a lot quicker than did I.

I really like the title and the last two "verses" if you will are awesome :) have you thought about adding punctuation (more than just the two commas and the semicolon)?
