Forever

Daydreaming behind closed eyes

Awake In a darkness so vast

Mirroring the universe so wide. 

Inside something resembling nothing 

Where infinite sparks begin to rise 

In the expanding distant

A light softly shines. 

Realizing in this instance 

I'm Witnessing the birth of time 

Within each sigh I find 

A moment brand new 

Before each breath. 

To be shared with you 

Who is one of a kind 

That this day has never existed 

It's existing now as we glide 

Into the expanding unknown. 

 As it has

 As it will

 Either shared or alone. 

Reaching out to grasp a hold of life 

For In each new second shown.

 

Every minute 

Every hour 

Every day 

Into weeks 

Into months 

Into years 

For as long, 

As long is FOREVER 

We have let it slip away.
