See Jane Run

See Jane Run

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer
"

reach out a helping hand

"

Do not turn your eyes from her sorrows, but see.

Look into the depths of, the wrong, there is a place for you.

Both large enough and small enough, for one soul to make a difference.

I say your voice of one, can stir the waters and turn the tide.

So step into the wave of indifference.

Stare into the sorrow that she has become.

Offer her a smile, and let that offering ask of her; try.

Try to shake free those bonds, and then see.

See her bloom into tomorrow,

then step aside and see Jane run.

Texas, Has a way of invading your soul, even a day of dry west Texas air will make your back stiff,Heart clear, and a song will sing, I don't like standing in Tennis shoes, I don't agree with the whoot owl gallery rallying the speaker on,But Texas you sure raised a woman to be strong.

O K Right my review was not specifically about your poem, But the gal in the Texas Senate was a beautiful exhibition of the difference One person can Make. Your poem speaks to that.
