reach out a helping hand

Do not turn your eyes from her sorrows, but see.

Look into the depths of, the wrong, there is a place for you.

Both large enough and small enough, for one soul to make a difference. 

I say your voice of one, can stir the waters and turn the tide. 

So step into the wave of indifference.

Stare into the sorrow that she has become. 

Offer her a smile, and let that offering ask of her; try.

Try to shake free those bonds, and then see.

See her bloom into tomorrow,

then step aside and see Jane run.

O K Right my review was not specifically about your poem, But the gal in the Texas Senate was a beautiful exhibition of the difference One person can Make. Your poem speaks to that.

I think this poem embodies the soul or essence of what we are. We all want to succeed but it is the journey through life that is important. Texas or Timbuktu it doesn't matter. Seize the moment and run. Well done Cherie.
