She Loves Me NotA Poem by Cherrie Palmercontest:Raging storm uprooted tree Beneath its roots a box I see Incased in a calves on hide I take my loot for the treasure inside A note to Jenny, I wonder who she was Signed in crimson, was it signed in blood Your One True Love, is the author I read As I look inside this is what I see A velvet ribbon etched in black with a lock of flaming red hair for its clasp pedals from a daisy removed from their stems laid in an ash tray sitting on a bed of ash And the elucidation did say she loves me not, for all eternity. © 2018 Cherrie PalmerReviews
