The Making of Thanksgiving

The Making of Thanksgiving

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer
"

Happy THanksgiving

"

Stirring pumpkin till it's smooth and silky

Whipping cream, hoping not too beat to butter

Weaving tales too cherubs' smiling neath my feet

One room over parades prance,

While remote is trembling

Waiting on the toss of a coin

Waves of laughter spill into the kitchen

As aromas drift toward the other

Paper plates and Daddies prayer

Bring us to the table

Boys of age go outside to play

Backyard football brings a close to Thanksgiving Day

I would so much like a Thanksgiving Day in the UK. This happy, jaunty poem is a joy!! I bet Grandad is in the parlour at the Jack Daniels!!
