Every Word

Every Word

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer
"

lies

"

Even in silence you are void of truth

words of trouble is all you give.

Lips in motion is all it takes for you to spread your lies

Never will you be charged with veracity of candor,

And still I hang on your every word.

Fabulous, fabulous short, spikey work. Unusual for Cherrie who normally write cheerful free flowing work. This hits you between the eyes. I hope the subject of this reads this and prepares for the inevitable moment when the hanging on words stops, swiftly and with no warning!

Well done. Captured my attention, and then the end had that twist.

Very potent, like a five-line-long needle. "Lips in motion is all it takes to spread your lies"
