Revolution

Revolution

A Poem by Cheryl J. Turner

The people are all dying

Their tears running dry

But the fat cats are singing

Not asking, just why

We've fallen down a black hole

The rich won't pull us out

We'll have to dig until we bleed

No response if we're to shout

We found a little kindness

and humanity along the way

Raised voices in the corridor

Listen to what they say

There comes a revolution

A revolt against 'The man'

We will stand as one

United, every hand

The people are all dying

Their tears are running dry

We will find a way to help

If it takes until we die

It sounds very much like a heroic speech. This has a compelling and strong tone in it. Simple but meaningful.

Keep Writing. ^___^

The wealth of the few and poverty of many is seemingly spreading all around the world. Never have I seen such greed and cold-heartedness, even among those who call themselves "Christians." Your poetry is excellent.
