A poem for those broken.

A poem for those broken.

A Poem by Chesney W.

This is a sort of poem for the broken.

This poem is for those not yet woken.

Those who know rough times.

Those who haven't yet chimed.

Struggle we know.

Greatness of a foe.

We still aren't shining.

But, here I am rhyming.

Knowing how you feel, I try.

Most of you probably wonder why.

Here for you I am.

No, I promise, this is not a scam.

Talk with me about the bitters.

Walk with me amongst the critters.

Creatures in contact have we came.

Life is anything but a game.

Loving for those unworthy.

Yes, I know, you're still hurting.

Tears we've shed, so many cries.

Slow it down, breathe a sigh.

Push, an end is upon us.

Hush, wipe off the dust.

Shoved to the back we've been.

Not now, because it's time for a win.

You've tried before, but with enough force not.

Try again, this time with all you've got.

In control you should be.

You are you, you are mighty.

Lurking in the shadows no more.

Rise up, come hither, ease the sore.

Speak words you've held.

Open wide, do tell.

You're worth so much.

Let loose of the crutch.

Stand tall in you're great person.

Cover ears, don't listen, you're not worrysome.

Be you without the cover.

Show your pages, let the hurt be over.

You are beautiful, unique, and smart.

Now use that confidence to prove your art.

Away to be thrown is the mask.

The problems nothing but a flash.

Dig deep and open wide.

Time for you, time now to shine. (:

Author's Note

Chesney W.
I, like some of you (or maybe most of you), have problems and issues with my life. I'm still going through struggles, the point is, there will always be struggle in life. But, it's time to go at them, face forward and be the better person. It's time to prove that I'm worth more than they think, time to show that I'm better than all the assumptions. No, I'm not conceited and I'm not saying I'm better, smarter, prettier than anyone, I'm simply stating that I'm better than what all the haters assume, I'm better than the lowly things people think of me.

I like the openness found here, in which all may relate. You touch on vulnerability and inner resolve. The most difficult thing to do is to open the doors wide. The world is a cruel place, fear is rational. Yet, we must be true to our self, weather the storm, come out the other side stronger. Kudoes.

You made the readers relate to the grief you have expressed in the beginning, you made them believe in themselves and gave a hope till the end. I loved the transformation in the words.

It was my pleasure reading it.
This is fantastic, few writers put their own self into their words. Most think that have to go through other people to get the emotions. This honesty and truth is perfection. Well done
