stone houses, glass hearts.

stone houses, glass hearts.

A Poem by c.m.

I saw the end as you slipped inside,
Slipped away to that place we called home.
Letting the softest lips I'd ever felt descend onto mine, quivering.
As you moved so softly against me, making love to a broken glass form,
Growing more hollow still with every look into those blue eyes.
Committing every feature to memory; you'd leave momentarily.
Listening with a grin to the familiar shatter.

Real remembered heartache after the last line... I feel like the lines should be cut in a few places to emphasize your rhythm, but other than that, well done, my dear. I can feel your style coming back out in this.
