Write and Rise

I wanted to create something that would instill new passion and fire in my fellow poets and writers.

There's a fire in my blood

a sort of heavenly hell

that liquefies words

mounting the horses of Armageddon.

Raising the skull and bones

high above mast

so everyone may see

we ride fearless and strong.

For words are powerful

they move and take

can bend and break

putting chains on thousands.

Yet we must heed our words

write in and between the lines

not just hang ourselves

like wet clothes out to dry.
