Highway man

Highway man

A Poem by Chilson, Joshua

The road is always long and dark,
the last glimpse of the sun,
before nights released from slumber,
cold, alone, somewhere is a highway man.

  When lightning strike's,
this is his pain,
only then can the world see,
how deep and rooted his emotion is.

  You see them,
in your headlights,
take a closer look and their gone,
passed by as imagination, a flicker.

About
I write poetry from life experience, though most won't seem that way as I never get into specifics to the events that bring about my work. I'm a silent individual for the most part which doesn't ma.. more..
