Sin Eater

Sin Eater

A Poem by Chilson, Joshua

  I'm breathing the worlds sin,
can't take much more of this,
in such a stubborn world I crawl to meet ends beginning,
I only wish to be solid,
it seems every touch moves through me.

Have I really become a shadow of the past,
can this spirit touch the sky again,
or am I bound to this earth forever walking,
wishing for a place to call home,
somewhere I can go without the worries and pain.

  Clawing my way back,
through the trenches of life,
a straight line down no mans land,
missing that star leading the way.

They call me the sin eater,
one that lives holding the pain inside,
hiding in the shadows,
a mannequin to fate.

About
I write poetry from life experience, though most won't seem that way as I never get into specifics to the events that bring about my work. I'm a silent individual for the most part which doesn't ma.. more..
