This is Me

This is Me

A Poem by Gionelly Kiss
"

A poetic description of me for a contest...

"

A porcelain statue is just me

A goddess of knowledge and beauty differed

To the people I help by the love that I show

With a flourish of tongue and a Spanish bond

I translate and help out all those in need

With my knowledge of English I teach and they learn

By me and with them to fulfill what we propose

A palm on my island

Strong and unique

Boriquen in origin

A treasure

No one can deplete

A friend and a sister

A daughter and more

Not that tall, gorgeous,

And Hispanic girl

A person of value who learned from the past

Mistakes of my own of a battle inside and out

I shine past the clouds and the darkness that I outgrew fast

A jewel of worth from the soul and out

Through loyalty and truth

Desirable qualities and knowledge so pure

Mature but still young

Thus powerful and beautiful

A star of my Earth

With a ten letter name

Giovyvette

This is me…

Interesting to make a poem about yourself. It feels very genuine to me and also very calm. I like it a lot.
The middle part and the end speak to me the most and therefor I also find those to be my favourite pieces of this poem.
