Genuine

Genuine

A Poem by The Pain Stays Fresh

I've never done anything to hurt you.
So why do you feel the need to hurt me?
Is it because I'm not as pretty as you?
As skinny as you?
As popular as you?
One day those things will be gone.
You will have nothing
and I will have everything.
Because I am genuine.

Ba-bam! I can definitely relate to this. It sort of reminds me of Taylor Swift's song, Mean. A way I enjoy looking at it," Outer beauty fades, but inner beauty can last a lifetime."
Nicely written :)

Thanks for the awesome review! I'm not a big fan of Taylor Swift though.

You're most definitely welcome!
Bold and true. We all have that one girl who wants to demolish us simply because she can. Stay strong!
