A tale of suicide and a childs reaction to it

Here is mummy now! Always late!
Daddy is never late! I wish it was him picking me up!
She's not in a bad mood! She always is! Why can't Daddy always pick me up?
She's driving too fast! She always does! Daddy's always telling her off about it!I
I try to tell her about my prize for reading but she isn't listening!
She's too busy talking to herself about something at work!
She's shouting at another driver! She's using a nasty word!
I hate mummy! I love Daddy!


Here we are in our road! Mummy has to slow down for the bumps!
Why is Daddy's car there? He should still be at work!
Mummy looks surprised too and starts calling Daddy nasty names!
I hate it when she does that! He never does it to her and she is nasty!
She's saying that if she'd known he wasn't working she could have stayed at work later!
I wish she would stay at work for ever! I wish it was just me and Daddy!
Mummy stops the car and hands me the front door key!
She tells me to go and see Daddy while she parks the car!


I run to the house, open the door and shout for Daddy!
I remember to stop in the hallway! Have to take my shoes off or mummy will be mad!
Daddy's shoes are there! I can see them! I run into the living room shouting for him!
Daddy is always there in his chair!
Daddy always picks me up and lifts me over his head!
He sits me down and asks me about school!
He'll listen while I tell him about my prize!
He'll listen and he'll ruffle my hair and he'll say how clever I am!


What's wrong with Daddy? Is he playing one of his games?
He's got a rope around his neck really tight and tied to the ceiling!
His face is a funny colour and his tongue is out!
His eyes are open and he's staring right at me!
I don't like this game Daddy! Stop it! Stop it!
Daddy it's not funny! Get down!
Someone's screaming! It's mummy! Stop screaming mummy!
It's one of Daddy's jokes! Stop screaming!! It's one of his jokes! STOP SCREAMING!

Wow, very tragic this one! Now what's this little child going to do? Told in the child's point of view made this have an even more emotional impact. Tragic story but one fantastic and powerful write!
