SORRY COULDN'T FORGET

SORRY COULDN'T FORGET

A Poem by Chris38
"

We can't always forget even when it's best to do so.

"
It's nice to see you one last time my friend
I wish this didn't have to be the end
I'm sorry but I take nothing with me to the sun
I take only 10,000 in cash, a fake passport and this gun

Tell them everything whether you know it or not
Give them everything they want, they can take the lot
If I stay any longer I'll be in prison or dead
So give me a kiss my friend then forget everything we said

Nicely written, this very tragic tale. Seems to like like the person plans on committing suicide to escape punishment for some deed he's done or perhaps some other other reason he believes death is the answer.

I love this, like the final goodbye, I can relate it to so many movies! Very good!

I like this Chris reminds me of the old "gangster movies of the thirties and forties
Bogart, Cagney, Edward G. Robinson etc it's kind of a "code" they had.
Really good stuff here my friend, great read!
