Johnny and Me

Johnny and Me

A Poem by Chris38
"

Things never last

"
Johnny and me
climbing a tree
Leaving the world behind
Johnny and me
happy and free
What will we find?

Johnny and me
What do we see?
Quite a lot from here
Johnny and me
Do I love thee?
What's with the tear?

Johnny and me
but who is she?
Someone else in our place
Johnny and me
Tracey makes three
and she's got a prettier face

Johnny and me
What will be will be
The world has found us alas
Johnny and me
climbing down the tree
All things must pass

Good. It's well written and interesting, and has a certain juvenile atmosphere that I enjoyed. I like how you got across some type of meaning but then left the rest open and undefined, able to to be perceived a number of ways. Just my 2 cents but this is good imao.

Funny how memories of childhood can come back so strong reading a write like this one..too soon we grow up and no more tree climbing or believing in fantasys happening..Love Kathie

The ups and downs of teenage love, probably young adults as well and they seek to find that one special relationship. Excellent storyline in your poem.

Aww so sweet. This reminds me of my tender years as a child.
