covet

covet

A Poem by Christel Grady
"

For you, Cupcake.

"

I miss the way we kiss

with tendrils of longing

never truly fulfilled

The circumference of

your arms as I lay

my head on your chest

Looking up to meet your gaze

and just then I know

you can see the real me

Hiding here behind

my smokey eyes

I try to lie to myself

old relationships long gone, this makes me miss the pass but glad that i had it, a beautiful piece, like a whisper.

Once given the chance to go back and kiss them again, hold them again, it's not anywhere near the same. I don't know why but that's the truth. We miss what we had moreso than wanting to have it again if that makes any sense.

Aw, so pretty and honest from start to finish. I feel the longing and I know, I know.

I miss my guy too. :+(
