Letters to Thailand

Letters to Thailand

A Poem by Christel Grady

I dream

of the day

you don't call me

anymore.

Midnight messages

of delusions that

laugh at the demons

behind my eyes,

at the lies you

never told me.

I scream,

"Goodbye".

Letters to Thailand"... The title speaks valumes for the meaning, in subtlely
explaining the definition, imo, to dream of a lost lover, whats defining
is the way you capture an experience that most people can relate to and bring it
to life with moving effect and haunting imagery, the minimal wording and
simplicity speaks most. Christel, you have a portrait way with wording.

Midnight messages of delusions that laugh at the demons - great line!
It's refreshing to read a poem about being the one saying goodbye than the one being left - even if it can be as painful. I liked the rhythm of this too. A short and powerful scream of a poem. Nicely done! NH

I love the word play in this, it creates such a perfect mood/scene. Bye bye to him indeed! Excellent stuff :)

you have this wonderful way of packing such a wallup in such a short poem. I can't even get the brain STARTED in so few lines.
Nicely done.
So you think the cafe is dead? I thought it was just my page....sigh.
Peace.
