Straight And Narrow / Le droit chemin

Straight And Narrow / Le droit chemin

A Poem by Crinkle°
"

At least, something positive.

"

I don't know why I have deviated from
Values which have been inculcated in me
The grand-father's pilgrimage maybe
Handsome, but who was a past master at betraying
I haven't been always proper
Today I confess it disgusts me
However I know how to say no
To these praises, these attentions
Thanks to you, at least now I know well
How to keep myself to the straight and narrow

. it's so sad but so true ... we don't fall a prey to praise and attention once it comes our way laced with deception ... beautifully expressed ... i so wish i knew french ... i'm sure you've written beautifully in both languages ...
