Snow

Snow

A Poem by Christina May Shanaberg

A compliment to the poem "Rain!"

SNOW

Weightless, as a molecule;

So wet and cool;

Fresh and pure white clean;

A wonder to be seen;

Drifting, endlessly, to earth;

The whole world covered with

A blanket softer than velvet,

Gleaming, in the sunlight;

Blue, beneath the moon;

Like cotton, to walk on;

Tinkles, as priceless crystal;

Each flake so minutely small,

With a lacey pattern, all its own;

Here, one day and the next, all gone;

Nibbling at each reddening nose,

As, shh, silently it snows.

Very impressive! It paints a word picture of the beauty of snow. Lovely, silent and so white. You capture snow just like it is and I'd say this is a perfect tribute to the beauty of snow.

I like the image you give of snow & that you didn't focus on the bad side of it.
It is amazing how it can change our lives for days. Good job!
