Shipwreck

Shipwreck

A Poem by Chris
"

Just something I felt I needed to get off my chest.

"
I am the shipwreck, scattered and torn I'm littering the surface like a nest of forgotten memories, as it waits for my body to feel the ocean floor.
I am the captain. I will stand tall, waiting to be consumed by it all. The water and rain splash upon my face as I am waiting to drown.
I am the storm. Thou shall feel my roar deafen all. I conduct this orchestra for a last symphony with an almighty sound.
I feel the water consuming me patiently. And I wash away these splinters resting deep within my heart, screaming as it pumps.
I take one last breath as the water fills up my lungs and I slowly sink into the abyss knowing I won't be missed.

Such tumultuous water, wind and waves wail during a storm o the sea. Once you go under, the silence takes over as you are thrown around. Nice personification in this.

Good poem.
