As The morning storm comes

As The morning storm comes

A Poem by peter Duggan

In the early hours of the morning waiting for the storm

As The morning Storm Comes

The sky is dark as night right now

It’s the early morning hours

There’s thunder on the way it seems

This morn has so much power

Then dawn is here, it’s just arrived

Some clouds are turning red

I love those early morning hours

As most lie in their beds

How can folk lie there in their beds

When this show is happening

The sky turns blue, and pink, and grey

Oh, how it makes my heart sing

In this very early morn

I feel light as a feather

The beauty of this morning scene

Will live with me forever

If only words could say it all

This beauty that I see

My soul absorbs the mystery

It crashes into me

As clouds come back, the rain pours down

The storm gives out its might

As I am lost in total bliss

On this morning of delight
