Forgiveness

Forgiveness is key to all relationships.

Everything's going to be ok,

if we continue to get through it.

We've both set our tones,

and now there's silence.

We can't turn away,

and we can't just give up;

because if we do,

nothing will go right.

I've seen my flaws,

have you seen yours?

We both just need to put a little thought into forgiveness,

forget the bad,

swallow... the good.

Take it into our hearts,

and breathe it out again.

 

Here by your side,

I always will be.

But will you forgive?

Or will you continue to feel emotionless?

Keep your head up,

don't let the bad take over.

I wont always be around, you know..

So I'm going to teach you,

stop looking for help,

because you have to sometimes learn for yourself.

 

Why are you going to lie,

if you're not doing anything wrong?

I'll forgive you now,

but it's only a matter of time,

before you push me away.

Stop searching so hard,

stop acting like I'm not enough.

Because once I'm gone,

I'm not coming back.

 

Forgiveness.....

It's hard to come across.

But I will still always be there for you,

even after I'm gone.

Get it?

I may not be your lover afterwards,

But I will always be your friend.

 

Forgiveness.....

It's a simple solution.

Idk... seems a little off to me, but I like the tone and mood set for it. Just a little bit of how I'm feeling at the moment.

Forgiveness is hard to give and even harder to accept,
for Forgiveness is not pretendign that you were never hurt,
nor is it excusing anyone from their resposibilities of their actions,
neither is it a feeling.
It is a choice to accept what has happened and to allow your relationship to move on.
Without forgiveness a relationship is like car wheels spinning on solid ice,.. It can never go anywhere.

Hmmm. . . .interesting. I like the flow, and many of the lines. I can kinda relate to this as well. . .I've just started forgiving some people in my life, so I really like the last two lines.
All in all, nice piece!
