Irresolute Charm

Irresolute Charm

A Poem by VertoAtrum

Give me a break from your laugh,
Or it may become my tinnitus,
Echoing in my ears at odd hours of the night when I can't sleep,
Knowing you are too far to reach,
Yet extending my hand at all hours,
Hoping that one day you'll finally fall and realize that I will simply not let you,
A wall between your feelings and thoughts,
Shutting me out as you try to let me in,
Slowly showing off secret parts of your soul that are screaming to be free,
Glancing while my head is turned away,
Stares lingering for a second too long,
Locked and loaded for a game of Russian roulette with your eyes,
Such disappointment for blurry tomorrows,
Scenarios which run on the coast of crazy,
Yet every day they flood my brain canals in the hopes that you will become the ocean

Just in case anyone didn't know, Tinnitus is the hearing of sound when no external sound is present.
