Blue Eyed Bairn

Blue Eyed Bairn

A Poem by VertoAtrum

Subtle hints,
Tucked away,
So perfectly discreet,
My stomach starts to churn as you follow little feet,
A ghostly stare,
Full of life,
A heart that's made of you,
I stared ahead with hatred as I blinked away the blue,
Not at fault,
Still of guilt,
Too young to know your place,
Two minutes after knowing you I'm tired of your face,
There you were,
Away you went,
Like you were never here,
I hope we never have the chance to meet again, my dear
