Imaginary concept.......so many debates have been conducted over the true existence of time! It is a fascinating discussion with merits on both sides.

We are indeed slaves in a way to Time; living our lives to its ticks and tocks until we tick no more.

These smaller writes have their own level of difficulty I have found since the need for clear and concise meaning must be outlined in just a few lines, and your piece does that very well here. So kudos for this one, Clifford.

How true! Time is something that can't be held but is always slipping out. I really feel you are one of the few people who can do an acrostic to perfection and this is a great example of that. Very deep and very deftly done, Clifford.

Nice little acrostic Clifford. :) One of those unfortunate truths that we don't like to think about too often.

Thank you, Roxane.
As though someone is behind us yelling go! go! go! Time pushes, pesters, runs out when we need it most. Then, in the end, the biggest insult of all...It takes us out of the picture altogether.

Perhaps in the next life, we'll no longer need the scoundrel. :)

Nice one Clifford.

we all run out of time eventually...and we all act like fools eventually...

i think the worst thing we do is use our time foolishly...

I agree with you on the misuse of time. Thank you for reading, Jacob.
Funny how when we are young, the time seems to crawl by. We can't wait to grow up, do this or that. Then as we age, it seems to soar by. We want time to stop, longing for all the wasted hours. Thank you, Clifford.

Ouch! This is so abrupt & direct, almost like getting hit with your message! *smile* This reminds me of the old "Chicago" song: Does anybody really know what time it is? So true, every line here! Sometimes there's just nothing left to add! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I really like the meaning. So much of the things that stress us in society are based on our artificial concept of time.

Long time no see, Hannah! True words, and thank you for reading.
Time is definitely a strange thing, it just keeps going. Whereas we, as you cleverly suggest 'eventually run out'. I think our 'mortality' does sometimes make us behave like fools. I like this shor thoughtful poem.
