Talk about my absence from the Cafe.

I've been keeping a secret from you all. I've been waiting until the time was right to announce my big news. I've hinted at the reason for my absence from the cafe to a few, but I haven't outright said it yet. Early next year (March 2019), my novel Cracked will be published by JSmith Publishing. It is a YA psychological novel. If you enjoy my stories, I hope you'll check it out when the big day comes. I truly believe the novel is my best work yet, and I would love to have the support of my Cafe family.

I don't want to go overboard with the advertising. Thank you for your time. On the topic, I've been devoting all my time and energy into the novel. Suffice it to say, I haven't had much ambition to write anything for the Cafe. With luck, that should change and I'll soon be reading and reviewing and writing with you all again.

I appreciate your comments very much. I've been working toward this goal since I was twelve or so, and it's great to finally be upon it. I had a very similar attitude to yours whenever people mentioned becoming published. Now that I'm part of the club, my excitement is a lot more genuine.
