Lively Sleep

Lively Sleep

A Poem by Marina
"

Dreams are always something that intrigues us. We like understanding how this works and this is what I think of them

"
Like movies at night.
Like a mirror, except
Doesn't require light.
Reflects our thoughts and intentions,
And things not determined by sight.

Subconsciously it moves us to
Talk and walk in the dark.
Not knowing of all
The dangers that lark.

Although a ride to fantasy,
It may seem.
Wait till you hear,
The purpose of a dream.

If your day comes to an end,
Leaving you tired,
Yet satisfied with your errands.
Watch when you rest,
For it will welcome you
With much content.

Whether you wake up with a smile
Or a frown,
'Twill reveal a pleasant dream
Or a nightmare that spun you right round.

Like it or not,
This comes naturally.
And leaves you overwhelmed,
When you wake up to reality.
