His Loss, My Gain

His Loss, My Gain

A Poem by Clyde du Coeur
"

An old muse returns in the form of rhyming couplets.

"
I see your personal ad publicised by a friend
And it confirms every thought I proclaimed in my head

On the hunt for casual sex? No surprise
I could've declared that, despite your lies

I'm not desperate enough to stoop that low
But still, before you I'd like to show

My pride, confidence and success;
For you I don't hold my breath.
