Papercuts

Papercuts

A Poem by Cobblestone Traveler
"

"Write it out"

"
Pressing the tip through weighted words
Tearing through this ruled parchment
Despite my trembling, ink-stained hands

Initiate transference of heartsick sorrows
Demanding reassignment and detachment
To become printed cries on a visual plane

Perhaps through friction and fanciful diction
The pen would empty as I drain you out
Until you are nothing more than papercuts

I like the images you summon up in the poem and the idea of pain being nothing more than a small paper cut. It is s small but very powerful poem.
