Imagine

Imagine

A Poem by Bailey C. Writing
"

I am going to work with younger children, I love children so much <3

"
Who knows how one pair of eyes
Can hold so much soul, so much wonder
One can only ponder
How they have so much depth so young
An astounding imagination
You can see the Indiana Jones adventure
Or the princess in her tower, just looking into those eyes
Shining so bright, with hope and pleasure
So much in someone so small
A mind that bests any adult's
Creative hands, make their own Van Gogh
Just through a glob of finger paint
Small hand inside yours
So fragile, yet so strong
The wonderment of being so young
The magic that's inside them
Look into a child's eyes
See everything you wish you still had

I'm refreshed by this theme, instead of the usual high/low pieces. Even for myself it is hard to diverge from those strong emotions, but you nailed this pretty well and made it your own ! You enthralled me into the mind of a child. The day you stop dreaming is the day you got old. Well played. Cheers !

So many lose their innocence way too early and the shattered dreams fill too many lives.

this is very beautiful, I usually like dark, violent poems, but this is so beautiful that you have to love it

Thank you!!!
Me either, not really into free verse poetry.
But with your piece, it's good.
I don't have the right to give any critiques or comments since I'm not that good or at least an expert.
Yet, you nailed it and wrote exactly your ideas about kids, the joy they bring to people. :)
Thanks for sharing.
