Blood In Her Hair

Blood In Her Hair

A Poem by Elizabeth Fiske
"

When love goes so wrong...

"

A midnight sky
Lays its eyes
On the neighborhood shrew
Without a clue
Of what to do,
Society turns away,
As she gives tears,
To all of her fears,
They grow in the shadows of hate
Right to this very date.

She waits and ponders
As the loneliness lingers,
And her fingers,
They grasp whats left of her heart.
Her love is gone,
Because her right is wrong.

Her soul is in pieces,
As she releases,
The yell,
Straight from hell.
Lost in who knows where,

With blood in her hair,
And everywhere!

It's the last of her,

And the last of him.

The last of love,

Gone so astray.

It took them eight years,

To see,

It truly wasn't meant to be...

Thank you, reminds me of the song, "Breaking up is so very hard to do." In my opinion your writing is quite nice.
