Three's A Crowd

Three's A Crowd

A Poem by Comewhatevermay

That look you give me is weak at best
Yet each glance feels like you're mining diamonds from my chest
Made from all the years of light under pressure
From situations such as this

I'm not here for your entertainment
Nor your latest favorite novelty
I'm not tiptoeing for anyone
And certainly not for your insecurities

I would play into your advances
But I'm more interested in my self worth
Besides your hands are a little full
With her playing this for all its worth

I really loved the first stanza. I thought the imagery really told the story of a stressful relationship. As said by someone else, I cannot tell the evidence of an affair unless you count the title.

Lovely write.
