Away at the Moment

Today is one of those days when I'm lost in a daze.

The rest of the world seems lost in a haze.

I'm just lying in bed because it's one of my ways

Of dealing with life when I'm trapped in this phase.

It's not that I'm sad. Everything has me bored.

I zone out sometimes and the world gets ignored.

There's not much to come back to, so I zone out some more.

Then I get hungry and have to run to the store.

I believe that we are constantly on autopilot; the act of movement without thought. In fact, I believe the dehumanization process has been an ongoing cycle in society. We are trapped in our m e a t suits until death. Human intellect is a precious thing. However, we constantly want more in life. Perfection is not something that exists in the world, I am afraid.

I share your pain on this one, my friend. The feeling of being lost in a daze and trapped in a phase I cannot escape is something that I am all too familiar with. Sometimes even the taste of food is not worth the effort...but then there are those glorious days when everything clears and brightens and life is a playground for the senses.
