Still

Still

A Poem by Cass Ashe

Beauty beats bright in the ominous still
Which cannot be bested by any pill,
Penetrated by any lonesome light
Seeking to break the solemn night.
Quiet loneliness quickly descends
As the moon casts pale light to the ends
Of Earth and removes all worry,
Quelling all people's great hurry
Until it hushes the forests to sleep
And darkness envelops so deep.
The warmth in the dark like home
Engulfing me like a thick sea foam.
I do not feel lonely
I sleep quietly
I let it take me away
So still I shall stay.
Conduct me on, nothingness,
I think it's time I had a rest.

I liked this basking under the pale moonlight. Feeling comfort and peace under this spectacular creation on earth.

I'm so glad you liked it!
goodnight,and sweet dreams,
as you bask in those moon beams
