Wish

Wish

A Poem by Connie Wong

"

The wind is blowing very hard now
It whispers the riot of my silence
But its blow is not as hard as my worries
And I can understand their whispers
even though they are wordless

In the cave of my insecurity and low self-esteem
I hide my heart and my infidelity
with smile, some bottles of beer,
and meaningless words

Wish you were here
Wish I were understood
Wish I were happy
Wish there were no worry
Wish it were just the wind
and not the sound of my heart

This is haunting....so raw with emotion...a very good thing. The emotion is so exposed it hurts and gives me chills !! Wow !!

AWESOME!!! One of the best poems I've read today....
The word choice is fantsatic and the flow is impressive.I can relate to the first two verses.
"The wind is blowing very hard now
It whispers the riot of my silence
But its blow is not as hard as my worries
And I can understand their whispers
even though they are wordless"<<<<<----My favourite lines.
After reading the second line, I just came to know that this poem is going to be a great poem.
It's AWESOME!!!.....Great Job!!!....Keep writing

Good poem. I'm glad I read it.

Is your "silence" really a "riot?"
