A poem I wrote on March 12, 2008 for my dear friend Susan Burgum.

Be happy, Susie
for you are loved
as someone has given you
his heart
his life
his hopes
his dreams

For happiness is being content
and contenment is being loved
and being loved is sharing

You may share him your smile,
laughter, happiness and even tears
but not your doubt
as it has to be locked
deep inside your insecurity
and you might need
to throw the key
to the ocean of your past

Be happy, Susie
for you are loved

Make him happy, Susie
for being loved by you

Make me happy, Susie
by being happy the rest of your life
