Lay Down. It's a Lie.
A Poem by Connie Wong
Written on November 12, 2006.
you did not lie to me
you only told me things I wanted to hear
so thank you for not lying to me
but wait.
it was not you
it was not you that told me things
that pleased my ears.
then who was it?
ah.
maybe it was you.
sorry.
sorry for telling you things
that made you happy
and loved me even more
happiness does not hurt
and I do not lie to you

This twists like a pretzel.....he does, she did, he thought so, but that could be a mistake, and then again she was there again...
I love it. Thoughts of deep thought there on the nature of relationships and the variant and value of honesty.
