Someday you'll be mine,

If you ever found the time.

I'd like to know why you don't care,

And give me feelings I can't bear.

You lead me on,

Then give me none.

You make me fall,

Then leave my world dull.

As I choke back tears,

I hope you hear.

Maybe you'd understand,

And hopefully be damned.

Someday somehow

You'll figure it out

Love is hard to find

Especially when you shut me out.

It sounds like the person behind the scenes is in love with someone who refuses to notice them in anyway past simple entertainment. If the other is continuously leading them on, I would doubt that they would ever "find the time." So many people find that this situation occurs to them- I myself have experienced it quite a few times, and let it tear me apart. I think that it is highly unlikely for the other that because of shutting the other out, they won't find love- Instead, it seems like the other person may be desensitizing themself to the love trying to be given, and therefor may never truly know love anyways. Either way, this is an interesting piece with a lot of potential for many readers to relate. Keep writing!
