Powerless

Powerless

A Poem by Ebb and Flow
"

Just had a fight with my boyfriend and needed to put it down before I forgot how I was feeling.

"

My strength, my will so broken.

I'm at the end of my line.

I'm tired, lost and confused.

I give up, you win.

My pain, my life all for you.

You can have it all I'm done.

I'm done fighting and caring.

You've won, you get what you want.

I'll keep my head high.

Put a smile on and pretend.

I'll pretend things will be ok.

I can promise nothing.

I can do nothing.

I am

powerless.

As much as you say you're powerless, this is one of the most powerful poems I've ever read. The flowing rhythm is, as usual, perfect, and you can feel the raw emotion. But beneath the resignation, there's still a hint of strength. I'm sure you can find it in yourself. Excellently written piece. :)
