Walking Away

Walking Away

A Poem by Ebb and Flow
"

When you just have to walk away from someone...you once loved.

"
How I fell for
cheap words and a
phony grin.
Like a man in
a mask you had
me fooled.
Thinking that you
loved me for
who I was.
How I learned
that you were a
liar and a cheat.
Oh, the tears
I cried for you
all in waste.

How you regret
that you were
never good enough.
I walked as soon
as I found
my life again.
You no longer
hold sway over
my heart or soul.
Good-bye to you
lover and friend.
I've found myself
within
another s eyes.

I think the expression speaks volumes, we have all felt this betrayal. However, you effectively put the feelings into words.

Thank you
